Health Benefits

Bison is an amazing, lean source of protein, zinc, selenium, phophorus and B12 but truly leads the herd when it comes to Omega-3 fatty acids. Yup, the stuff that is usually found in fish like salmon can also be found in bison. This is because free range bison spend their time roaming happily in fields grazing grass and eating bugs, which are a good source of this essential fat.

If you’ve never tried bison before and you can’t seem to find it in your local health food store, US Wellness Meats is a very reputable online source for grassfed, free range meats and animal products.

Oh, and you probably know that meatballs are typically made with bread crumbs, but no need for them here! So these meatballs are paleo, gluten-free and grain-free.
