St. Patrick’s day is almost here: what are you gonna wear?

We know February’s just started, but unlike January, this month will fly by and before you know it, you need to get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. And if you’re anything like us, you’re probably counting down the days until you get to wear your silly outfit and go out to your favorite pub. This holiday is one that is best celebrated with people who you love having fun with, and it’s a great opportunity to get everyone together. We thought we’d talk about some options on what you can wear for St. Patrick’s Day and how to make the day even more fun through your outfit. Lots of people love to dress up and get a bit silly, so read along and get ready to do the same!

Silly sweaters

Although we’re talking about March, sunny days and warmer weather, a sweater will still be your best choice if you plan on being out all day long. Plus, there is such a big variety of St. Patrick’s Sweaters that it’s impossible for you not to find something to match your style. You can go for a silly sheep sweater, or one with Guinness pints all over it if you want a fun and cheerful look. You can also go for something more chill like an Aran sweater, as long as you get it in green and don’t forget to accessorize your outfit. Cardigans and ponchos are another great option, especially for women who would like to wear a dress for the celebration. Whichever sweater you pick, you can be assured that it’s authentically Irish, so you’ll be in theme with the holiday.

Fun hats

Another way to show that you’ve put effort into choosing your St. Patrick’s Day outfit, and it’s not just another Saturday out, is to wear suggestive hats. Just like we mentioned for the sweaters, you decide how silly or formal you want to make your outfit, the options are all available to you. From the classic and iconic leprechaun hat that will definitely be everywhere on St. Patrick’s Day to the simple and elegant flat cap, Irish hats are all suitable for the occasion. If you live in a very cold area, you can wear a beanie with shamrocks, green pompoms or even some silly patterns like a Guinness pint or a pot of gold. Baseball caps are a great idea for those who want a more relaxed feel, but still want a bit of Irish touch, just make sure there’s a flag or symbol on it, and of course, that you get it in green. Flat caps are perfect for those who have a smarter fashion style, so take a look at those and choose a classic pattern like herringbone, to really be in tone with St. Paddy’s.

Face paint and accessories

If you’re going for the parades and you want that full-on fun festival vibe, these last few suggestions are for you. Parades are such a good excuse to dress up and have fun with the way you accessorize your outfit, so there really are no limits. Think about some face paint, either Irish flags or shamrocks on your cheeks, add a bit of green glitter for an extra touch. Accessories are also amazing ways to spice up your outfit. Hair pieces such as headbands with Irish symbols, silly earrings and even green make-up can be a great way to transform your look so it fits the holiday vibe better. Have fun with it all and make sure you get your friends into it as well!
