All You Can Eat #REALpumpkinspice Week!
Ok, let’s be honest here… autumn is no longer symbolized by crisp breezes and crunchy colored leaves. Fall officially arrives with pumpkin spice. If you recall, the trend started a handful of years ago with an unsuspecting flavored latte and has now exploded into pumpkin EVERYTHING! Literally, everything. Take a walk through your grocery store this week and you’ll see pumpkin spice ice cream, pumpkin spice tortilla chips, pumpkin spice oatmeal, pumpkin spice pancake mix; the list is endless. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen pumpkin spice toothpaste this year…. but never say never, right? It’s a food trend gone bonkers!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I do secretly love it 🙂 But what’s so great about pumpkin spice when you’re missing the actual pumpkin?! Maybe it’s just me but I’d prefer not to celebrate the season by dipping pumpkin spice flavored Doritos® into pumpkin spice flavored hummus while drinking pumpkin spice flavored coffee with pumpkin spice flavored creamer. I want the real deal! Don’t you?!
