So, I’ve been writing about the downsides of refined sugar for a long time now and if you’ve read my book you know I am something of a sugar nazi. But every once in a while (especially around the holidays), it is nice to tickle your dopamine center with something sweet. So to that end I started out on a mission to create a rich, but healthy dessert. I had no idea that what I was about to create could be a healthy Snickers® replacement! It is not very often I get sucked into sugar’s sweet temptation, but oh, I could not stay away from these! My mind was relentless and as long as there were some in the freezer I could think of nothing else until they were gone.
Because of this I feel it is appropriate to place a disclaimer on this recipe:
