Health Benefits of Guacamole
Avocados are one the all-star food sources of healthy fats. Avocados are high in monounsaturated fats which support a healthy heart by increasing HDL (the “good” cholesterol) and assisting in absorption of the fat-soluble nutrients, vitamins A, D, E and K. They are also very high in potassium which helps to support healthy blood pressure levels and is also very essential for heart-health. Bottom line.... fat is where it's at!
Mmmmm homemade guacamole is one of my all-time favorite foods!! Of course I love to eat it with your classic corn tortilla chips, but I also really enjoy it served atop fish, in tacos, on an omelette, and straight off the spoon! How about you? What's you favorite way to enjoy guacamole?
